License Plate Sticker Renewal

To renew your vehicle registration, please visit the Township office. Be sure to bring the following items:Stickers Here Milton Township Marquee Sign - Copy
- Your registration card
- Your driver’s license
- Payment in cash or by check

If you don’t have your registration card, you will need to provide the following information:

- Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- The month in which your vehicle needs renewal

Please note that a $5 service fee applies, and payments are only accepted in cash or by check. If you renew your sticker late, the state of Illinois increases the sticker price. An additional $20 fee will apply if you are up to one month late. Ensure that your vehicle does not require an emissions test before making an appointment to renew your sticker.

For plates older than 10 years, a temporary vehicle sticker will be issued at the Township office (full payment required), and new plates, along with the new vehicle sticker, will be obtained through the mail from the Illinois Secretary of State within 90 business days.

Additionally, the Township provides assistance to senior and disabled residents in applying for Benefits Access. We encourage you to call the Township to check your eligibility.
